This section lets you select the types of intrusions to be detected and blocked by the firewall.

Check the Intrusion prevention section in the firewall settings to see a list of the attacks the Intrusion Detection System can neutralize.

Intrusion Detection System (IDS)

The Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a tool used to detect unauthorized access to a PC or a network.

It performs a detailed analysis of network traffic, comparing it against identifiers of known attacks or suspicious behavior, such as port scanning, malformed packets, etc. The IDS doesn't just analyze the type of traffic, it also checks its content and behavior.
